“In 1998, a goal was born,” I often say, reminiscing about our humble beginnings. “To cast architectural hardware and send it across the seas.” The first shipment to the UK marked the beginning of our international journey, a journey filled with excitement and a touch of nervousness. We were a small team, but our passion for quality was big.
 

"The early days were all about heart,". Over the years, we poured our hearts into our work, solidifying our presence with our valued customers in the UK. The sense of accomplishment was palpable, and we knew this was just the beginning. 

Never one to shy away from a challenge, in 2009, we ventured into sheet steel fabrication. “It was a significant milestone, and the successful export of premium architectural fabrications to a leading UK partner filled us with immense pride. We were not just growing, we were evolving.”
 

"Our commitment to growth wasn't just about numbers," I often remind everyone. In 2010, we opened a new 47,000 sq. ft. facility, creating a space for our skilled workforce of 70 to thrive. “It wasn't just a building; it was a testament to our dedication to quality, our people, and social responsibility.”

Looking beyond our borders, we embraced a Western-focused approach in 2011. "It wasn't just about operations but about making a positive impact on the community.” This cultural shift set us apart and solidified our belief in doing things the right way. 

We never stopped innovating. In 2012, we expanded our capabilities by introducing a cutting-edge powder coating factory, complemented by state-of-the-art shot blasting and hot zinc spray services. “It was a moment of immense satisfaction knowing we could offer our clients even more comprehensive solutions.”

I say with real pride - "Our people are our most valuable asset," . Recognizing this, we became the first factory in the area to provide life insurance benefits to our valued staff in 2015. “It was a small gesture with a big impact, a way of showing our appreciation for their dedication and hard work.”

The world around us was changing, and so were we. In 2019, we recognized the growing importance of sustainability and took action to expand our focus globally, especially on climate change. “It was a responsibility we couldn't ignore and we were determined to make a difference.”

​

A pivotal moment came in 2022 with the establishment of a UK office. “It was about challenging the perception of Indian 'offshore suppliers.' We wanted to be seen as forward thinking and socially responsible partners, working together towards a shared vision which delivers for our customer in a way which makes them feel good.”

"The time had come for a new chapter,” I announced in 2023. We decided that our company’s vision that focused on its “global footprint" needed to be recognized, soon after the creation of "The Sustainable Manufacturing Company" was completed. We rebranded the company unifying Bishen International and Crishna International under a new name that reflected our core values. “Sustainability and social responsibility were no longer just goals, they were who we were.”

Our journey towards a sustainable future continues. During 2024, we set an ambitious goal of becoming a "zero waste to landfill" company. “It's a challenge we embrace, a way of ensuring a greener future for generations to come.”
